    Firebee about to Lay - Good Example
    Forum members periodically ask questions whether "my female is about to lay". So thought I'd offer a good illustration. Here's a Firebee, bred to a blackhead about a week away. Notice her tight coil over the heat and the sharp spine "ridgeline". Both in my experience are telltale signs. At this stage, she'll remain in this position where a day prior she'll begin to lay inverted, almost in a contorted position to reset to squeeze out the eggs. Always over the heat. Others may offer similar or different advice, but hope this helps. Cheers,
