Heat lamp and UTH question
Hi, I posted a thread a while ago asking a few questions, but I have a few more concerning my temperatures. I got a heat lamp because I thought my ambient air was too low, and I didn't want my snake friend to get a RI, but upon further investigation, I realised that my temps were 80-81 degrees, and was told that was good. I was using a UTH before, and my hot spot is 90-92 degrees, ambient air temp is 80-82. I am just concerned, because I don't know if I should just use the heat lamp, just the UTH, or both? I mean like, if the temp stays at 90-92, regardless of it being ambient air, belly heat, or both, then does it really matter if I use both? I'd hate for the heat lamp to go to waste.. She probably would be fine, but I am the type of person who worries about things that don't matter, so I would like a second opinion to make me calm down.
Sorry for the stupid question by the wayy ;w;
Re: Heat lamp and UTH question
Put heat lamp in closet and save for cooler months if your ambient temps are 80-83 if you add the heat lamp now you will cook ur snake

Re: Heat lamp and UTH question
Can I use it if I lower the temps in my room? It is pretty hot in here, and I have been keeping it warm to maintain the 80-81, so I would like to be able to lower the temps in here for my comfort haha
Re: Heat lamp and UTH question
I'd also like to mention that I have a 50 watt bulb, so it is only a few degrees warmer.
