    Ball python losing scales
2 weeks ago I bought a ball python from a trusted breeder. This Python is a rescue Python who's previous owner up and left his whole collection to starve. Lucky enough my girl survived weighing only 190g when found (1 and half years old)
she settled into her viv ok, a little shy staying in her hide most of the time. 3 days ago I got her out and found mites on her!!!!! The mite problem has now been solved however today I have noticed after bathing her that about a dozen of her scales have come off??
is this something to worry about? It looks a white-ish colour where the scale was.
    thanks!

What mite treatment did you use?

Also if you had mites two weeks ago you're not done treating yet, an egg laid by a mature female on the day that you first noticed the mites may not hatch for another two or three weeks.

I used callingtons mite spray and iv bedded her on kitchen towel so I can easily see the mites. The lady I got her from says there's no way she came with them and I never see them until a few days ago. I have had her in the garden tho so maybe that's where they came from. I haven't seen any mites since yesterday but keeping a close eye on her.
