Got the next 4 months off work because I fractered. My t12 vertebrate l
Just got out of surgery. And stuck in the hospital for four more days. I just wanna go home and play with my snakes... Goo news is not working I will be home for every step of my eggs hatching on June 24th. Think I might have to set up a go pro.

Ouch! I cracked L1 about 20 years ago. Take it from someone who didn't listen to her doctor afterward - don't try to do too much too soon! Periodically mine still sends me a not-so-gentle reminder that I was young and dumb.

Yea I had 2 titanium Rods and 8 screens put from t10 to l2 with a bone graph on the t12. Told me no lifting anything over 10 lbs. For the next 4 months minimum most likely 6. No work either.... Good thing my fiance loves snakes and is more than willing taking over reptiles duties.

slipped and/or ruptured every single one of my lumbar discs (besides two) when i had a trampoline accident. I loved having my animals with me when i was healing, not going to school was fun in the beginning but i missed social interaction. It gets bad feeling alone and physically not being able to interact with a person on a daily basis without experiencing pain... At least you're looking on the bright side. Get well soon.:) :)

Holy cow. And I thought just lately sawing my thumb open was bad.

Congrats on your release, sorry to hear that you are broken! Better find stuff to entertain yourself with being home all that time....

If we're sharing, 12 years ago had 1400lbs dropped on me, destroyed my lower back. Severe damage to L4 and 5. Was told I'd never walk again, 2 surgeries, tons of therapy and I did. Returned to work, got trapped in the back of a trailer by an improperly loaded 650lb barrel. Destroyed my rotor cuff, had my bicep tenden relocated. Tore 4 ligaments in my shoulder. Had 1 inch of my collar bone removed (shoulder decompression). A metal damping system installed. And have C4,5,6 severely herniated and considered inoperable without crippling me completely. Had 13 Boas ( BCI, BCC, BRB, Dumerili)kept three Peter Kalh snakes and my Dumeril). For a couple of years I kept nothing because I was fighting stomache cancer. About two years ago couldn't believe the prices of some of the ball python morphs (I started in this hobby in 1987). And jumped back in, I really can't tell you how nice it is to have snakes again. That's why I keep simple set ups. Plus I can always count on my wife. Sorry about the rant. But I can relate, my snakes truly make bring a smile to my face despite what I've been through. Hang in there!!
