What is it that tips you off that it's not a trick?

I am not a trick expert and have no interest in the gene as of yet but comparing photos to your normal, the pattern isn't even close to any of the tricks I have looked at.
Broken alien heads and joined heads that remind me of a cinny or black pastel.

I'm pretty sure the trick is supposed to have a very busy pattern

Here's Mom. Picture is crappy, sorry. We got these snakes (21 of them) as rescues and we're trying to sort everyone out. The guy we got them from said this was a possible trick. I didn't see it but I figured I'd ask just in case.
Does anyone have any info on the distinguishing marks of a trick?
