    Hidden gene woma granite
So I will be getting this snake next week I'm just curious what the granite is is it another gene completely or just part of the hgw? I've tried looking it up but the best I could find is from 3 years ago so if anyone can give me some information on granite.http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/06...a867d73b22.jpg

You will get different opinions from different people. Some say the granite is separate and some say it is not.

Granite is a separate gene, and there are many different lines of granite out there. It adds the melanin neck spot and other noise in the pattern.

this is a photo of a granite from WOB

I don't believe the granite hype in HGWG's. I do know there are genetic granite's out there, but they have nothing to do with HGW's.

Agreed. It was originally stated by Kevin that the granite gene "sticks to the HGW", and won't split. To the date, nobody has produced any granites from a "hgwg". I like Sloan Reptiles' approach. I bought a "HGWG", but I will not be labeling the HGWs as 2-genes, since granite just doesn't exist in them.

Note: per Kevin's definition, your HGW is also granite due to the neck spot. Again, don't expect any granites :gj:.
