i know bp's are nocturnal, but mine seems to never come out...
its 11 pm and he's been sleeping since probably about 9 this morning...is that normal? is it bad to wake him up?
thanks

It is a snake's instinct to hide. When he's hungry, thirsty, cold, or hot, he will come out and look for what he wants. And no, there isn't a problem with waking him up.

watch how often you wake him up. don't go poking at him every half hour or so. you wouldn't like it if you were all snuggly and sleeping, and some one came and poked at you :)

Going to be having babies
Well, as you mentioned, they're nocturnal, lol. Try peeking in at around 2am or later and you might see your bp out and about. My bp seems to lay around in her hide all day and night. Only on the occasional night do I see her snaking around. And usually when she's doing that, she's either looking for food, or making a smelly mess for me to clean up. ;)

Mine typically come out just after sundown. I have a south facing window in my snake room and they get lots of sunlight during the day. They usually go back to their hides by midnight.
