Want a rack but room is too cool?
Hello I want to move to a rack but my room is in the basement of my house and is 71-73F . I'm thinking maybe if I could put them in the closet with a ceramic heat emitter warming the closet up?

You can an electric oil filled heater from Home Depot for $30-40 and hook it up to a thermostat

How warm is the closet? If you don't know you should monitor it for a week and see what numbers you get. Plenty of people have their collections in closets.

Or like suggested above a oil heater works great to keep one room warmer. That is how I warm my snake room as do many others.

I do well with a window fan and electric heater with build in TSTAT.

Wal mart sells oil filled heaters with built in thermostats, for $65.00.
That will warm your whole basement up....

That is about the temperature of my living room - I use a closed sided rack with heat on both sides and it works fine.

I keep my snakes in a spare walk in closet with a ceramic space heater with a built in tstat with no problems
