    Should I still be optimistic?
So this season I bred my pastave sulfur to my proven lesser girl (laid 6 good eggs last year). They locked up consistently this season. My girl lost her appetite for a good 2 months or better and has shot my breeder male down since. She has yet to ovulate, but has renewed her appetite. Aside from that she does seem to be very lightly colored, not due to shed (glow before they grow or so they say). So my question is, for the experienced breeders out there... Is there hope for a clutch or did she reabsorb? I was hoping to produce some BEL's this season. 😅
    Thanks in advance,
    Ryan

I got my first clutch this year and have a second on the way. My second girl went back on food for a brief period and then back off food and ovulated.

I have 2 girls right now doing the same thing. I was also thinking they had reabsorbed the follicles. Fingers crossed for you and me both:please:

Same here. My female has been off feed for a month and has been bowl wrapping for a week but this week she took a rat. Is it a normal part of building for them to eat again?

Really depends on the snake they are all different.

Our girl went off feed for four months, ate a small meal, wouldn't eat for another 4 months, got very skinny as it had been basically a 8 month fast, and then when were were getting really concerned she finally ate three live mice and dropped a clutch within two days. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Now she shoots out of her cage every time I open it looking for a rat. She's got the most ferocious appetite.
