    Insurance?
I was interested to know if anyone here including big breeders have some type of insurance on their animals. Is there even such a thing? I called a few big companies and all of them said no. It would be a shame to lose a 20, 30 even 100k collection.

Interesting question, I think I remember seeing someone saying they had an extra rider on their homeowners for their collection, but I have no clue where that was or what it involved.

Someone running a business could insure them as inventory. I haven't asked my homeowner's insurance company if I could insure mine, though some companies offer coverage over the normal amount for collectibles such as firearms, jewelry, etc. Of course, you pay a higher premium for that.

All the reptile shipping companies offer insurance when you do transactions with them. I do know that is for them insuring the animal against mishaps during shipping. They may have info on insuring your collection. There is a company that insures pets but you may have to try google. Hope this helped. :gj:
