Rehydration

Hi. This is my first snake ever and I need help.
My bby ball python needs to be rehydrated. How can I do that?
*he has a rather large water dish to drink out of and his humidity has been improved- so I'm not quite sure how to prevent this also*

Before you do anything, are you sure he's dehydrated? What causes you to think that?

His aides are pinched and lately I've seen new scales dull. I know it could be a sign of shedding but that paired with the pinched skin, I believe he's dehydrated

When was the last time he shed? What are your temps and humidity, and how are you measuring them?

If you think he really is dehydrated get a small container with warm water and let him soak for about 10 minutes. I wouldn't do it any longer than that. Make sure you humidity is at 50-60% so it doesn't happen again, and change his water every day.

I got him last week so idk when the last time he shed was. The temp is usually in the mid 70's and humidity in the 50's. I use a thermometer in the middle outside of the tank.

Your thermometer should be in the tank, near the floor (this is where your snake lives).
Measuring the temp outside the tank does you no good at all .

Yep if its still like the photo you posted on your other thread, your analog gauge isnt measuring anything IN the tank.
Please view my post over there and get a good digital thermometer with hydrometer.
Covering the screen lid will help a lot too.
