Don't worry, first time he ate in his tank. They figure out quick what end is which. Color is off due to infrared heat lamp and camera tries to compensate sometimes.

This was his second mouse of the day, his fourth is 5 days.

Yup, he was still hungry, time to increase amount and timing of meals. I don't want to overfeed him though. Any chance of that if I just keep doing what I did today?

I didn't watch the video, but just as a heads up live-feed videos can be pretty controversial even within the reptile community. There are certain states where it can even be borderline illegal if it's seen as something that was taped and posted 'for amusement' (who gets to make that decision I don't know).
I personally don't like live-feed videos unless there's a very specific educational aspect, but to each their own.

Are you feeding him multiple times a week vs just one sitting ?

He ate 1 mouse on May 19, one mouse on May 20 and two mice today. I fed him the second mouse today because he was so interested when I set the mouse cage on his tank an hour after he ate the first one.

The video doesn't show be holding the live mouse or the strike. It doesn't even show him coiled around the mouse. I started recording after he uncoiled from the mouse.

I doubt that would break any cruelty laws then. I honestly don't know much about those regulations, but I've heard of them and just wanted you to be aware.

Thank you. I can understand it. I wanted to share because I found it so fascinating. If a moderator wishes, they can delete this or perhaps change the title of the thread to something different. Pre-killed mouse perhaps would be a more accurate title?

That is a lot of mice in a single week. I only feed any of mine once a week (my smallest is around 300 grams). Even on a four day feeding schedule, that's still a lot of mice.

I agree with Daigga. Definitely a lot of mice in such a small time frame. If he's that hungry, I'd use it to my advantage and transition him to F/T rats. That way, it's a single prey item per feeding, and you can use larger rats as he grows. I have a very finicky Pastel Vanilla as a love mouser. It took me nearly 6 weeks to convert her, but since she's converted to rats, she's been a garbage disposal since then. ;-)

I tend to agree with the above posts. That's alot of food in a short time. Make sure you aren't overfeeding....
