    Flexwatt clamp tool
Just wanted to make a poll of how many of you who use heat tape have actually purchased the special clamp tool vs just using vice grips/pliers. I used vice grips on my first rack and it's worked wonderfully for these first five months. About to make a second rack and plan on vice griping it again.

So for those of you who have used the tool that flexwatt sells, would you say it makes a difference?

    Negative.
Solder, never a worry of a loose connection. :gj:

I drill and screw a nut and bolt with the eye crimp electrical connector, then silicon to seal.

I just squeeze them with a pliers. Never had an issue.
