    Meet and Greet :)
Just thought I'd share a picture of my baby here, since she's my first ball python and I'm a little bit obsessed. Her name is Vishnu and she's almost a year old but I've only had her for six months maybe. Gosh time flies!

I was curious, does anyone else's snakes like to cuddle? I've met a few pythons and spent a deal of time with them but I've never handled one as cuddly as Vishy. She literally will just lay with me when I watch tv or hang out on the couch. Often times she'll cuddle in between my fingers or rest her head on my wrist or hips. I swear she's so unbelievably sweet and I'm wondering if a lot of ball pythons are like this. I look forward to hearing your stories!

Oh! Also she has an obsession with electronics! Do any of your ball pythons gravitate towards electronics? Cause if there is a phone around or anything at all really, Vishnu heads right for it haha she's apparently not too camera shy.

my girl peach is like that, she's super friendly... instantly comes up to my face to say hello then goes about her exploring, if im watching tv she will sit there periscoped staring at it... if im on my phone forget about it, she MUST climb all over it and open up all the apps she can

    That's an awesome picture. :D

@ OP - Welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing! Vishu is lovely. Of my 8 ball pythons, only one is really cuddly. Ser Charles will happily sit wrapped around my neck/hair for an hour.

Welcome to the forum, great looking animal, looks healthy. I think it's the warmth they like more than anything but some of mine won't sit still and as soon as I take them out to spend some QT together they want to explore or get away. Mine also love my laptop and phone but again I think this has more to do with the heat signature than interest in the internet, though perhaps they want to get onto world of ball pythons and look for a mate. LOL

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! And yeah I figured it was a warmth thing for electronics as well as for cuddling because most of the literature claims snakes aren't really affectionate and we project our own feelings on them. But still, I like to imagine she's content and happy. I mean she doesn't seem opposed to laying with me so I'll take what I can get haha.

I think they grow to feel comfortable with their owners. They recognize your scent and your heat signature. Or at least they seem to. I've got a BP who is just the jumpiest thing ever when handled, except when it's me he calms out quite a bit. But anyway, welcome and you have a cute little snake there. [emoji2]
