Could this little girl be something else than a normal?
Hi everyone! I just purchased this tiny thing today. She has a faded head stamp , mustard colour on the speckled dorsal stripes and also no hole/eye in her side and dorsal at all. I do believe she could be a nice dinker. What s your opinion?http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...9f025f4d8d.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...31633c7d83.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...f806575ea9.jpg

I would totally dink around with that! Mojave or Yellowbelly. Maybe Fire would also go well with that. Looks like what I imagine the single gene Vertigo would look like.

I know this is one of the most common morphs out there, but even a bright pastel or even firefly would probably do that thing some good!

    Cool looking dinker though :gj:!

I second Travis! Hang on to her and pair her to fun stuff to enhance the morphs even more. People always forget how important a good looking normal is when it comes to breeding. :gj:

That's some great suggestion. I didn't see much about Vertigo but it will be awesome if she can produce offsprings similar with it.I'm happy that you agreed with her potential:)Thankyou!

I had a baby hatch out similar to that one last year. What was the pairing? How old is she? My baby was very small (32 grams) and also very dark with very few dots. I have kept him for a year and he is huge, eats like a beast now and even bit me yesterday. I think his odd looks are the same reason why he was so small. Your baby is cool. I would pair her with my male if she hatched out of my egg:0)

(In shed in this hatchling image but you get the idea)

I think she's under 1month old. I didn't breed her but in fact I picked her over hundreds of other normals from an importer. It really was a special and exciting moment when going through thousand of Bp babies at once. Your baby looks good and I see what you mean by the similarity .I can kinda see its darker than normal coloration even in shed. May I know what's the sire and dame? I wish both of our baby ones r getting big and healthy[emoji106][emoji106]

Sable x hypo. So...he is het hypo +???. I had 2 other sables in the clutch and he is twice as dark as them so yes very dark. I have not decided whether or not to breed him back to the dam next year or sell him. Problem is that his mother is huge and lays large clutches. She is a super good producer and I have lots of sable projects in the works. I would hate to loose a year of production with my project if he did turn out to be nothing other than a het. I like your girl a lot. Personally, I would work her into an ultramel/carmel, butter, fire, yellowbelly, or albino project. Those are all morphs that I like to see with as little dots as possible.

Wow, twice as dark!? He has to be special and I really hope u prove him out.Could it possibly be that the dam retained sperm ? true that may not be worth it to put your well producing female on the table. as you having projects and plans going on.But again, if your little dinker shows more of his quality after a few shed.... It could be something worths a shot.Good luck to what you planning to anyways. I ve been looking for a nice ultrmel and I would love to work my dinker with it.
