    tail in the air
My female is 4000 grams shes soo big its hard to tell shes pregnant anyway i have a good feeling she is and pin pointed the day she lays as today. No eggs yet but shes restless and at times points her tail straight up. Is this a sign shes getting ready to lay?

It almost seems like an act of pushing such as if you have seen them defficate or when my big girl starts her tail wag when she is introduced to a male she would lift her tail up word, though I can't say for sure she is about to lay, but restlessness could be an indicator this is my first season breeding as well so I'd wait for a more experienced person in that department, just figured I'd say the tail lift in my experience has always been when something is being expelled.

As far as behavior goes, my girls were both very still for a few weeks after their pre-lay sheds. Every time I checked on them they were curled up on the heat, and the paper towels I use for liner weren't messed up at all.

Closer to the lay date, they developed a ridge back look to them and they start to stretch out a bit (my second is at this point now). It looks kind of uncomfortable when they do; it's hard to explain but instead of a smooth "S" look to them they bend at odd angles. They also show signs of restlessness at this point, with their bedding all messed up (if they aren't moving when you peek in). At that point, my first was within a day or so of laying. I'll report back for how long it takes my second girl to lay if yours doesn't beat mine to it! [emoji2]
