    Thermostat problem
I just purchase 2 thermostats from my new RBI sweaterbox rack. I keep hearing about always using failsafes so I bought a Herpstat 1 for my primary and a Ranco for my secondary (Spyder Robotics even approved them). Now, I know Ranco's general need to be wired so I purchased my Ranco on the ETC Supply website to get a pre-wired one. They had a selection of different sized cords, I got the 14 gauge Heavy Duty 15 amps (I looked into how Reptile Basics pre-wired theirs and they used 15 amps). Anyway, as i was about to plug in my Herpstat 1 into the Ranco and started to change temp settings on it, my Herpstat turned off. I checked the Herpstat to see if was ok by just plugging it into my Isobar surge protector and it was ok (thank god). As it turns out, the cord to plug the Ranco into the rack or primary thermostat is just not working. Did too much "power" completely fry it? I did so much research (and freaking money) and double checked everything to make sure everything was kosher. What happened? and is there a way to save it? Let me know if you guys need pics. I'm silently stewing with rage and horror.

Did you try turning up the temp on the Ranco, to see if it would kick on ??

I did, When i plug the Ranco into the rack, or Herpstat, there is an light the emits out of the outlet to indicate its turned on. Well, that isn't working now. I'm just tinkering around with it and just, nothing. I'm so stumped..
