    Eggs!!
My spider female just had her pre lay shed today, so the countdown is on! I just have a slight problem... I leave for Air Force field training 6 Days from today and will be back june 16. This means that she could lay while I'm gone....I have an incubator set up and everything, so if she maternally incubated the eggs for a few days would they be okay? http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...328602a7c9.jpg

Not a problem. Some breeders always let the mother incubate the eggs. It's just harder on the mom to go an additional 50 days without eating if she incubates them herself. The mom and her eggs will be fine for a few days.

Good luck in training and thanks for serving our country! :salute:

You should note that for maternal incubation you normally want a substrate that holds humidity a bit better than newspaper. Id be concerned about them getting dehydrated being on newspaper for a couple days.

I thought about that also. I put in a piece of shirt in the tub and soak it with water twice a day to keep humidity high. The tub always has condensation in it. Is that enough?
