    Hopefully I'm Wrong
So I've been watching Criminal Minds on Netflix for the past few weeks. As I'm watching Season 9 episode 1, The Inspiration; Part 1, it depicts a serial killer putting a baby corn snake in with a praying mantis. Whoever did the animal handling allowed the mantis to attack the baby corn, and then it shows the mantis chewing on the corn! I'm horrified! How could the handlers on the show allow this to happen?! I'm really hoping it isn't real but I couldn't see any cg involved in the shots.

It's not real man, they're not allowed to harm animals during the making of shows/movies. Just imagine how much PETA would be attacking them. The things they can do with CGI are really crazy.

Yup, agree with Mike all the way. It's all fake. They don't want to kill or maim any living creature on film anymore. It's not worth the hassle from the outcry regardless of how insignificant the creature may appear.
