Do desert BP brown out?

So I've been wondering this for a while because for the most part the only difference I can tell between a desert and a super pastel is that the super pastel can lay eggs. Correct me if I'm wrong please. So that makes me wonder if the desert browns out over time like the pastels

Deserts dont brown out like pastels. Both have a lightening effect, but the genes are not related at all.
