Re: Zoo Med Reptile Shed?
Humidity is decent now. I did struggle with it the first 10 days or so of having this snake. Now its consistently in the upper 60's. Heat is where it should be on each side of the tank. Only a month old with his 1st shed. Just started coming off yesterday, but very little. I have things he's rubbing on in the tank, just wanted to give him a little hand. I have a small water bowl for him to drink & a larger one for him to get in.

What she said. We just got an adult nine foot male earlier this year whose prior owner said he always had really bad sheds. And yes, his first shed with us was insanely bad; it looked like a snake skin exploded in his enclosure. Bits of shed were everywhere - up the walls, in his water tub, on the sides of his water tub, all over the paper, etc.
His second shed with us came off in two very loooooooooooooooooong pieces. It's amazing what humidity will do.
Re: Zoo Med Reptile Shed?
Thank you all for your insight! I ended up buying a bottle, but have not used it. If I had to guess, I can only account for about 40 percent of his shed coming off. All in pieces in the tank. With humidity in the upper 60's & sufficient water for soaking in his tank. Would it be better to aid him, or just let nature takes its course? I have only had a red tail boa & ball python before. Never had any shedding issues with them.
