Need my Female to eat again
My adult Normal Female hasnt eaten in 2-3 months. She weighs 1240 grams. I know its not a problem but im trying to get her to breeding size. Would offering a live rat get her back on food? What would I do if she doesnt eat the rat?

There's always a chance that trying live may get her to kick-start, but I've never had any success with this. It's always been a matter of time or another husbandry issue. Can you give all the specifics of your set up? There's several different things in that department that may cause balls to go off feed.

She is in a 41qt tub. Stays at 87-88 degrees. 50% humidity. The only thing in the tub is aspen bedding and a water dish. She was eating fine and just quit.

41qt is pretty big for an animal that size as far as my own personal husbandry goes, but should be able to work just fine.
Buy her one of these: http://www.reptilebasics.com/large-hide-box

I had a 1600g girl in a 32qt on aspen. Was on strike for the better part of 4 months. Gave her one of those and she ate 2 days later. Twice. F/T and she used to be on live, too.

    Good luck! :gj:
