    Dying For a Drink!
Well Stryker, my 12 yr old BP dropped her first load since October in her water bowl last night. So, as I was cleaning it out while trying to wake up this morning, she was impatiently waiting for the return of her bowl.
She has never before really paid much attention to me removing and returning her bowl.

As soon as I placed it down she shoved her head in looking for water. Once I filled the bowl she immediately started drinking.

What is so strange about all of this is that she is usually very "drink shy". She normally doesn't drink while I'm in the room. If she is drinking and I walk in, she will stop. This time, I was just inches away.

The mental play by play for this was awesome  Guess water was too important to be shy.

My girl does this after feeding. I change water while they eat and she dunks her head once she goes back in her cage [emoji14]

    Wow that sounds funny!

I wonder if your Cleo is trying to rinse substrate off of her mouth?

She eats in a separate enclosure [emoji14] (mom's orders) I think she just gets so excited and she says, "Whew I'm pooped."

    Hmmm,

well since the rear end and tail are usually the last part to go down; maybe she is trying to get the taste of rat butt out of her mouth and go for an atomic mouth rinse! :D
