    Concept of lay box?
I've heard mixed things about people using them, but from what I've read they can't hurt to provide. I'm expecting my first ever clutch in a couple days and was thinking about building one for my girl.
So why do some people use a lay box? Does it provide extra security? Does the humidity on the inside help keep the eggs "fresh" (lol)
    Just looking for input :)

There is no good reason I can think of to use one. Mine have laid just fine without a box. With that said though it hurts nothing and if you want to use one go for it I say.

I provided one for my Brazilian Rainbow boa and she used it. I've never worried about it with the ball pythons.
