how long after I cut my ball python eggs will they come out?
First clutch ever here and it's day 50 so I decided to cut my eggs as they had dimpled up quite a bit I made sure to do it very carefully and didn't knick any veins and their all looking fine to what I can tell but what I was wondering is how long after I cut them will they come out? I did it last night by the way so they have been cut for aproxamently 13 to 15 hours I even checked on them this morning and they are all still alive and well but I'm just soo excited for them to come out main reason I cut was to see if I got a super cinnamon but out of 7 eggs I didn't even get 1

It could be three days, it could be twelve. It depends on the incubation temperature and how close to hatching your babies really were when the eggs were cut. Remember, even when they pip on their own time, they still have to sit in the egg another 1-3 days (sometimes more, sometimes less) to absorb the last of their yolk.

Day 50 is a bit earlier than I feel comfortable cutting to be honest.

Remember you need to take care of eggs once you cut them rather than just leaving them alone.

I have I checked them every six hours to ensure they still give a twice or move and also to make sure the temps aren't shifting on me

One thing I'm just a wee bit upset about is it was a super cinnamon male to female pastel and I did not get one super cinnamon or super cinnamon pastel but from what I have seen so far I think their all cinnamons and pewters but I have to wait for them to crawl out to be 100% sure

All you'd get from that pairing is cinnamons and pewters - super anything won't produce another super unless the other half also has the gene.

Well that would explain it lol that's why I paired the two because from what I read I had a small chance to produce one but I guess that was wrong

The longest I have had one stay in the egg after cutting was 10 days. He came out ok....finally. I TRY to wait until day 55 to cut, unless they pip on their own.

Hey, at least they will be healthy. Plus now you have the experience of that first clutch under your belt. :salute:
