Vanilla Cream
I've been having great fun playing with the WOBP genetic wizard, planning hopeful future pairings... But this one has me stumped.
The pairing I entered is a Vanilla Cream (Vanilla Fire) x Pewter (Pastel Cinnamon), with the goal being to produce more Vanilla Creams, and also Vanilla Cinnamon Fires.
However, this is what I got:
12.50% |
Fire |
12.50% |
Firemon |
12.50% |
Firefly |
12.50% |
Fire Pewter |
12.50% |
Vanilla |
12.50% |
Cinnamon Vanilla |
12.50% |
Pastel Vanilla |
12.50% |
Pewter Vanilla |
Am I missing something? :confusd: Is there some reason why this pairing couldn't potentially produce Vanilla Creams or Vanilla Cinnamon Fires? Can the parent not pass along both vanilla and fire genes for some reason?

Re: Vanilla Cream
Since fire and vanilla are allelic, a vanilla cream acts like a super. So all offspring will be at least fire or vanilla, but that animal can't recreate itself.
If you want to produce cream combos, you will need to pair it with a fire combo or vanilla combo.
Personally? I don't want to be the one who has to correctly identify fire vs vanilla. I would pair a super vanilla combo or super fire combo, that way there is no guess work and babies will be easy to identify.

Ahhh, another allelic pair of genes, like Mojave/Mystic. Gotcha. :gj:
That is an excellent suggestion, thanks! With the added benefit of every baby being at least a vanilla cream.

Well, not ALL but a high percentage should be. :)
Vanilla cream x super fire
1/2 cream
1/2 super fire
Vanilla cream x super vanilla
1/2 cream
1/2 super vanilla

Re: Vanilla Cream
Oh, I was thinking of a super fire x super vanilla. :) the super on just one side would definitely be the more affordable choice.
