My second BP - cinnamon enchi ghost
I picked up this guy about 3 weeks ago. I saw him at Miami repticon in March, but decided to sleep on it. Tracked down the seller and bought him a week later.
First 3 weeks have been pretty rough. He didn't want anything to do with me. I didn't try to handle him. He put up a good show whenever I had to do any husbandry chores - hissing, striking, etc. I considered naming him BP Jones, after Jamie Foxx's character in the Horrible Bosses movies.
This pic is from last week when I had to clean his cage.

He is a bit of a tricky eater. The seller told me he was eating live mice. First week, nothing. Tried a live adult mouse, but he wasn't coming out of his hide for nothing. So reading up here, I figured he might be a night hunter. Second week, I wanted to try leaving a live mouse overnight, but didn't want to risk any injury to him. Decided to leave a live hopper inside it's critter keeper cardboard box from the pet store. I stood the box up, let the top half open, and came back in the morning to find an empty box, and a slight bump in his belly. But he was still a grumpy basterd all week, probably cause he was still hungry. He was 250g when I got him, and had gotten to 230g. This past weekend, I did the same thing with a live hopper, but this time I dropped in a F/T fuzzy rat in there too. Both were gone in the morning. He must be feeling better, as he let me pick him up to clean his cage this morning without striking me.
Here he is looking a little more relaxed.

I like the orange colors that he has, didn't know the cinnamon and ghost would do that!

Wow what gorgeous colors! My little super cinny is a bit of a nasty bastard himself (even though it's kind of adorable). I'm hoping after a couple feeds he will mellow out as well. Congrats!

I wouldn't worry about his attitude. I've had some very angry hatchlings, but around a year to a year and a half they mellow out.

Grumpy babies are normally fantastic eaters!
