Ktulu my BP
I got Ktulu several weeks ago, and he is a badass. I've got one problem though. One of his eye caps is still stuck from his shed, and his shed happened in a bunch of small pieces :/. I fixed his humidity with a reptifogger and a zoomed hygrotherm. Any tips for that? He had the other on for a while after his shed, but gently misting that part of him seemed to fix the problem. I also never got to feed him pinkies. Call me a sicko, but I want to see Ktulu eat some babies. Could I feed him 2 in place of a hopper? I'm already thawing out his f/t meal, but in-case he would prefer a live feed, could I just give him a 2 course meal of pinkies? Thanks!

Well honestly, if your snake is big enough for hoppers and you have hoppers available, it is better that you stick to hoppers. I doubt it would hurt him to take two pinkies at a time but I know I personally would stick to the appropriate size.

This is his enclosure btw. Idk, I was thinking the pinkies would be fun to watch him feed on, and the last hopper I fed him but him during feeding. Thankfully I responded quickly enough to get his teeth away and onto something else.

Yay! He ate his f/t hopper! I personally prefer to feed him live (more natural, and I enjoy watching him murder his food). Anybody have some good tips for that eye cap? I'm misting him every day that I remember to.

Step 1: Don't get your rocks off on watching anything murder something....creepy much?

I get my rocks off watching the circle of life take place. Overly concerned much?

I too would suggest sticking to the correct food size for a couple reasons. He may stop seeing the smaller ones as a meal and refuse to eat them. And it's just a pain in the butt to have to feed them more than 1 food item. I gathered that you were paying attention during his last hopper feeding? That should make it fairly simple to prevent injury to him, but frozen/thawed pretty much guarantees it.

I noticed a higher quality in the mouse, in that it was fairly clean. I think I might just stick to this for a while, and live feed for special occasions. F/t also don't make a mess.
