Aggressive Ball

I have recently acquired a 6month old Bumblebee ball python named Lilith [You'll see why soon enough]. She is an absolute ball of fury, currently sitting on 410grams taking 2 adult mice every 7 days as rats are next to impossible to find where I am. She will strike at anything that moves and never misses a meal (which is good). My only concern is that she is next to impossible to handle, she will strike once your handle is in striking distance or without warning.

Any assistance in working with her will be fine, I've had her for almost a month now, first 3 weeks I left her completely alone and just fed her.

Go in from behind her, snakes only strike at whats infront so you dont need to worry about her instantly turning around and tagging you without warning... rub her a little bit before you try and puck her up to let her know your friendly... if she turns and it looks like she is gonna strike stop and try again a few hrs later or the next day.... some snake chill out easy while others can take a while or never chill out at all. only time and patience will tell

Get a hook, or even a old paper towel roll. Give her a little push/pull. Then if she seems receptive, reach in and pick her up. I know, sounds easy enough. You could even drape a small towel over her head, and then try. Good luck, I swear they know when your scared.

Pick her up in one hand and hold your other hand in front of her out of striking distance. It'll keep her attention there. Brian from bhb does it all the time on the snakebytes videos

Oh I'm not scared, an she does come at you from any angle. She's dead accurate too.

Thanks for all the help guys, yesterday I held Lilith for longer than 2 mins, for 1 full hour she just crawled around in my hand then stopped and chilled, even gave me a half yawn so I'll be feeding her today.

Where did you get her from? You may need to up her feedings. Monty did that only when she was being under fed.
