woke up an snake shed....

    woke up an snake shed....
    I woke up this morning to my snake shedding... thing is he never showed any of the steps only thing was yesterday his eyes looked completely black not cloudy though... now his eyes are clear again an he is halfway shed an obviously he hasnt showed signs of bein in shed an we were still feeding him... is this normal for it to help without showing signs??? His last shed was march 9th

    I mess with him daily cleaning his tank an everything only thing that happened is his eyes turned black tuesday but never got cloudy sn he has still been eating

    Snakes can still eat during shed, it all depends on the snake as does the shedding process his eyes could have very easily blued over night and cleared up, we have a general idea on how long it takes a snake to shed but nature dosent alwaya fallow timelines set by man, our king snake blued the day after we got him, and by the next morning he was completly shed, just make sure the eye caps come off and your fine

    Make sure the tail tip sheds off also. The tail is a very common place for retained shed to occur.:salute:

    Their eyes will clear up after they've "gone blue" immediately before a shed, which is likely what you saw yesterday. Chances are that you just missed him being "in blue" in the days prior. It's perfectly normal and honestly pretty easy to do when they're younger - the whole shedding process is pretty quick with the little guys.

    His eyes were never blue they went like straight black as they were last night then normal today when he shed last time his eyes were cloudy for awhile never black... but he shed so lol...
