    Ultratherm UTH Tub Placement Help.
Hey I bought an ultratherm UTH and I have two questions...

    1. Do I have the right side taped to the bottom of the tub?
    2. With the thermostat probe taped between the HEAT MAT and the TUB it is preventing the HEAT MAT from making full contact with the tub and there is a space between the two, even pushed down with tape? Is this ok?

The UTH location is fine. It's almost too big for the tub but as long as the snake has a place to go to get away from the heat it will be ok.

I would have only stuck the probe half as far under the UTH as it is now, it will still do the job and give the snake a larger area for heat if it's close to the edge of the UTH rather than right in the middle.

Good point, I will adjust the probe. Maybe I should get a smaller size, but I'll try this for now.

You should really get a larger tub so the snake has more room to escape the warm side. Maybe consider a smaller uth? As far as the probe is concerned, you can pull it back to where the edge of the uth meets the wire of the probe. This way the probe head should seat right past the edge of the uth. Good luck...:gj:

I ordered the 6x11 should be better than this 11x11
