i'm still worried about where these mice are... we dont have anywhere else to put the furballs, and i really dont want Pandora and Apollo smelling food 24/7.

i took a pic and labeled where everything in my room was. if i could get lots and lots of opinions on this one.... i need to know if Pandora and Apollo's sense of smell can reach the mice. They're cages WILL be cleaned 2-3 times a week, and the mice will never go in that part of my room.

    thanks

Get rid of the mice. Tell your friend you're not a sucker, and to take care of your own smelly rodents. Right? :)

I dunno if it'll effect anything or not. Guess you'll just have to see. If Pandora seems different and starts looking hungry and looking for food out of nowhere....then she can probably smell them. I dunno. :)

well the mice ARE half mine... i did pay for them... heh, 5 bucks for all three together.

she bought all the husbandry for them.

so far, my snakes are still acting normal. Pandora's still poking at the screen trying to escape, and Apollo's hiding under the newspaper. :)

Hehe just tell your friend you thought Pandora and Apollo looked lonely and needed a friend problem solved. On a serious note it should be fine my boa was in the same room as my mouse tank and he showed no signs that they bothered him at all.

I've kept mice/rats/gerbils etc in the same room as my ball pythons in the past and never had a problem. Your snakes should be fine.

I was watching a thing on nat'l geographic channel and they were doing some tests on how snakes hunt down there food. They had a tank that had two peices of tape one had a mouse rubbed up and down it the other one was just plain tape and the snake followed the peice of tape that the mouse was rubbed on all the way to the end of the tank!
