Quick question about mites
So Sasha is due for a shed some time within the next week or so. And I'm battling mites, here's the question: if there are dead mites stuck to her will they come off with the shed? Or what's going to happen? I have reptile spray and PAM so I'm working on the mite problem just wondering
Re: Quick question about mites
Yes they would come off with the shed ... Also be careful using the mite preventatives especially the Pam right afterthe shed. I'm not for sure but I would imagine that a freshly shed snakes skin would be a lil sensitive for the first few days. I could be wrong but wouldn't hurt to be on the safe side is how I've always looked at it

I could be wrong, but I agree. I'd play it safe. But the last time I had mites, everyone was still using no pest strips.
Re: Quick question about mites
Makes sense for the PAM not to be a good idea. I wouldn't use it right after anyway.

So I would assume that a few hours after shed would be a good time for a soak? As the mites would probably come? I realize that it takes a while to make mites go away but I can't help but hope
