Zilla Deluxe Critter Cage from Petco?
I'm a new bp owner and I wanted to upgrade the tank from a 20 gallon to a 40 gallon. I went a few different stores but the best one I found was the Zilla deluxe critter cage. It has a sliding screen top. Is this a good choice? I already picked it up but I just wanted to make sure before I put him in it. Does anyones ball pythons tend to easily get out of this tank? Thanks :)

The sliding lock tops are super secure and a good choice for glass terariums. As long as you don't forget to get it into the lock position you shouldn't ever see any escapes. I have the 20 gallon slide and lock for my smaller normal now, but since we just moved our beardie I now have a free 40 gallon that I'm either going to move Kirby into or put a new lizard in.

humidity can be a bit of a challenge, but there are lots of ways to get around that.

I'm using the 30 gallon version of that tank(36x18x12) vs the 40 gallon(36x18x16) for my pied girl atm and it works fine. I got lucky and got mine for $20 from Petco because they were just trying to liquidate all their 30 gallon Zilla cages.
