Belly pink even after shedding and rough scales?
Hi, my 10 month bp just shed a few days ago and I noticed her belly is even pinker than before she shed, which I think is a bit weird..she has a white belly so it's really obvious. Since shedding she's passed green looking faeces which was solid and white on top. It shouldn't be green right?! Her vent has two little red dots either side and her scales under her neck are very scratchy. The shed was complete so I don't think it's stuck shed. Could the husbandry be incorrect? She also has a little red mark like a small scratch but it isn't on the top of the tip of her tail. All so very confusing, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Do you have an under-tank heater? If you do, is there a thermostat regulating it?

No I have a bulb with a thermostat regulating the hotspot to be 91F which is where she spends most her time. I would hope she would move if she was too hot, but she is active at night, just seems to be a little strange colour, although she is nice an bright after shed.

Forgot to mention she is a little underweight and her skin is a little baggy after she refused to feed during shed.

If her only hide is on the hotspot then a ball python will go to it. They first want a hide. Same if it's on the cool side, they will sacrifice the belly heat for comfort. I dunno if that's the issue.
Keep in mind that not all snakes are exactly the same, on of my snakes bellies is always slightly pinkish. Maybe some pictures?

She has a hide on both sides an she has been in both but chooses the hot one. Will sort pics ASAP.

What are the specs on your husbandry? Specifically heat and humidity?

91f hotspot, 83 ambient, humidity is 60%. 20 gallon tank, was on forest floor substrate but just switched to aspen.

I'm on aspen too. Your husbandry is good. Maybe since both of us have snakes with slightly pink bellies not during sheds and we both have aspen that it's the aspen? What brand do you use. I don't remember my brand but it's for rabbits and small mammals I think.

Is your snake the one in the picture with white belly as well? I literally changed from forest floor as soon as I noticed the pink belly so I don't think it's the aspen. I did notice she was hot when I took her out her viv so maybe they go pink when they're warm as she felt very warm?!
