anyone else's bp love cardboard?
I fed loki his thawed rat pup on a piece of cardboard in his tank a while ago, walked away a few minutes, came back and loki had finished his rat pup and promptly slid himself under that cardboard rather than returning to one of his hides. His temps and humidity are fine, and I use a red light for heat, so I don't believe he's trying to burrow for heat. He has gotten a tad big for his hides I suppose, should I take this as a sign that it's time to make some bigger hides? Or is loki just being a silly snake?
Re: anyone else's bp love cardboard?
The size of his hide should be one where he can fit snugly and feel his body pressed around the interior of the hide securely. As for the cardboard, I think it was the closest object to him once he finished the meal to take cover. Remember, during eating and after eating is when they are most vulnerable and they look to cover themselves as well as begin the digestion process. Peace.:gj:
