Ok so after looking into a smaller lizard that is just as cool a big monitor/ tegu, I've decided on an ackie! I gave up on getting one after I couldn't find one but I've found a breeder that sells often. I just have some questions:
If I keep it in a feeding trough, what size should I get? Can I cover the sides with stone to create hiding places/crevices?
I believe the hotspot has to be about 120? Is this best done with a light? What kind of light/bulb should I get and should it have a thermostat?
Could I create already burrows and tunnels with foam, and then give it texture or cover in sand? Maybe put some substrate inside so it holds moisture? I'm a little unsure as to how it is dry on the top but humid inside.
