Beardie handling question

Is it okay to let your bearded dragon sit on your head? I heard from my sister that if you let an iguana sit on your head they will feel like they're the dominant one.

Pretty sure beardies are not nearly as intelligent as an iguana. lol I think it would be okay.

Beardies are so laid back and don't typically have issues with them thinking they're dominant over their keepers, though I wouldn't put mine on my head just because sometimes they may move suddenly or try to launch off the top of your head in some random direction and hurt themselves when they land. I also would not have ever let either of my iguanas on top of my head just because they definitely would have tried to jump for it and scratched the heck out of my head, neck, and face in the process. Mine were only really happy being active, getting them to sit still while being handled was way too much to hope for.

Lol my beardie is opposite. She is a pet rock with eyes unless she sees hornworms. Then she becomes greased lightning. Like others have said, I wouldn't worry about them thinking about dominance especially towards humans. As for intelligence, there was an article I read about reptiles where bearded dragons actually learned from each other. They taught one bearded dragon how to push a sliding door open to get to a bug on the other side. They then put a bunch of dragons in there with the one who knew how to do it and after awhile, the others learned from watching the one how to get to the bug and they did it. Now not sure if it was a actual learning or just mimicking but interesting regardless. And like Daigga said, I would be more worried about either lizard hurting itself from falling. And iguanas are known for "bolting" off. Beardies tend to just be lounge lizards.
