    Hybrids?!
My boyfriend and me ended up buying the horse I was talking about a few posts ago. She is untrained as of yet, but will be ready to train come spring. At $500, I think she was a real bargain. She is very friendly and gentle, and really easy to lead around.
We have an arrangement with a couple we're friends with; we can keep her at their farm for the winter, and in exchange we'll do cleaning-up and stuff around the barn, and pay for her feed. This is awesome! All my life I thought horse ownership was for the rich and glamorous people only; but now I have a horse of my own and I could not be happier about anything in the world. And I sure am not rich, nor glamorous. :/
So if you reallllly want something in life, go out and get it! And don't let anyone tell you you're nuts.
I will have pics of her up soon. She is currently running around with her pasture mates kicking up the SNOW we got last night (only half an inch, but more is comin...)

Thats great Gin! She probably was a steal. Horses are great aren't they? ;) Who are you riding in your avatar? Have fun with training her. It's really awesome when you work with the young ones and bring them under saddle, and then see them develop into wonderful riding horses :)

    Belt loops are dangerous!
My avatar pic was taken a few months ago when we went out trail riding. The horse I am ridin' is named Tontine and belongs to a friend of ours that does trail riding as a business (god I would love to have that job!)
