Alternate snake food ?

I have a baby ball python and Ihe hasn't eaten in almost 2 weeks due to the fact that I have NO money. Is there any alternates to mice ???

Unfortunately nothing that I know that would be free. And NEVER try and feed your snake a wild caught rodent or any prey as they will contain all sorts of parasites and little creepy crawlies.

You can get a f/t or live prey for less than $10 (where I live at least), you don't have anyone you can borrow $10 from?

Can you define "baby"? How much does it weigh, and how old is it?

I hope this doesn't come across the wrong way (and whenever someone says that, it always does), but if you don't have any money for snake food, why do you have a snake?

I'd be more concerned about taking care of yourself if you can't come up with a couple of dollars a week to feed a single ball python.

I know this is gonna sound harsh and probably won't be popular but if you cannot afford to feed an animal, which means you probably cannot afford other aspects of it's care either (vet for example), you should consider rehoming said animal.

Animal ownership is a big responsibility and if they become a financial burden you should do what is best for them and yourself.

Unfortunately, they're right. If you can't afford the food, perhaps you should surrender your snake to a herp rescue organization. PLEASE DO NOT LET YOUR SNAKE GO IN THE WILD.

if you don't have the money to feed the snake how did you have enough to buy it? Where I live mice don't cost but a few bucks; you don't even have that? If the answer is no then do the snake a favor and rehome it to someone who can properly take care of it.

Your baby Python probably needs a rat pinky or fuzzy, $3-5 at the Pet store. Surely you are resourceful enough to get that.

You can even check Craig's list for a local breeder who sells them for even less.

My rat breeder sells mice for a buck, and full grown rats for $3. I've never asked about pinkies or fuzzies, but based on these prices they are probably a buck.

Pretty much what everyone else is saying; if you can't afford three dollars a week for snake food, you shouldn't have a snake. Please try and rehome it somewhere it can be cared for if you can't afford it. No one would think it was okay to buy a dog and then not feed it, so I'm not sure why people think it's okay to do that for a snake.
