    Old scales built up.
A friend of mine took in a young ball. The guy that had it couldn't take care of it properly anymore because of medical reasons. When he got him home he checked him out and found some old patches of skin that looked tight and dry. To me it looks like it's old scales from one or two sheddings. He's blue right now, so should I tell him to just keep it nice and humid until after this shed or try to soak him and get them off now?

Bump up the humidity first. 65 - 70% or so. Leave the soaking out for now. Good job. Don't forget to donate to USARK. :gj:

An update - Kept the humidity in the tub around 65 and he shed last night beautifully. One big piece, all of the old scales come off and he looks wonderful. Just a little skinny but my friend said he took a weaned rat immediately. I think he's going to plump up nicely.
