Personally, I have no clue but zoo med has a youtube channel online where they have video tutorials on most of their products. Also contact them by phone and let them talk you through it. Good luck. Support and donate to USARK.:gj:

Well turns out that the power strip I got only has on and off. It doesnt switch when the timer hits night. Thanks zoo med for a pointless power strip and timer

Thanks That_One_New_Guy for expecting a bicycle to perform like a motorcycle. How is this Zoo Med's fault?

Well I don't mean to sound like an ignorant consumer. But If you have timer and 8 power out puts then I think it's logical to assume that it has a day night cycle

As a side note. I didn't buy the strip indivually it came as a packaged deal so there were no instructions for the unit

I don't think it's logical to make a purchase based on that kind of assumption if you're looking for a specific feature such as that.

Did you buy it new (retail) or used (from someone)?

Yeah it was used. No packaging. I purchased a large amount of equipment. It was included

I probably have the same strip. See-through green with 4 on a timer and 4 always on? It is a weird unit for sure.

I put my heat lamp and heat pad on the always on side and my daytime UV lamp on the timer, but it has been weird to get used to because the wording on the thing is ambiguous
