Possible scale rot?

Hi Im owner of this lesser bp, I have him since he was 1 month, I realized of this scale issue last week and gave him a bath for 25 mins. He has almost 9 months and weight about 630 gr. He hasn't been eating since 1 month. The pics are not revealing a good image of what we are supposed to be viewing. It's hard to appreciate the condition of the bp. What type of enclosure is he kept in? What are the husbandry settings? What is he crawling around on? Keep us posted.:gj:

I can see only one scale that looks affected which makes me think it's the beginning stages of scale rot. Better pics and more info on husbandry like do you use a thermostat would be much more helpful.

Im using thermostat n hygrometer temp 33 C hum around 40%, external heat pad 8 watts, big water bowl, cold hide, big trunks, bark substrate, cork on 3 sides, tank cm 50x100x50 plastic net top. Some parts of the cork were ripped off by rats and some adhesive tape was exposed. Im afraid it could be that.

What is the temp on the glass directly above the heat pad? If you dont have a thermostat controlling the heat pad it could be burning him. A thermostat is different than a thermometer. The thermometer is what is telling you the ambient temp is 33C. The thermostat will control your heat pad and not let it get above a set temp.

The heatpad itself reaches 34 C, inside is about 32 C atm I dont have thermostat but when I had I could see temp never went over 33 so the heatpad was always on

The thermostat doesn't tell you the temperature. It's basically a shut off for if the heat pad get above a set temp. I know with my under tank heater it can get close to 130 farenheit without the thermostat. I would go out and get a digital thermometer with a probe and tape it to the glass where the heat pad is under the substrate. I have a feeling g ur heat pad is getting hotter than you think and burning ur snake.

My thermostat said temp :) 8 w for 11" pad wont burn anything, max temp is around 95 f

Mine is zoomed uth for 30-40 gallon take approx 8x11 inches and it gets upwards of 115-130 without a thermostat regulating it. My thermometer has my abient temp at approx 92 on the hot side. I had a Burmese come into my work with burns because the owner thought the uth wasn't getting above 92. They didn't have a thermostat. upon mine and the vets recommendation they took a temp of the glass above the uth and it was at 120 farenheit. I would use a probe to check the temp as it is better safe than sorry. What type of thermostat do you have?
