Need some advise.

Hey everyone,

i am in need of some help.

a couple of days ago one of my snakes started acting a bit weird at first i thought oh no not an RI....

but then i noticed she is not making a whisteling sound when breathing and there is also no slime on her nose/mouth and there is no face rubbing.

all she seems to have/do is every now and then is that she really puts some force in it when she exhales and when she does she does that with open mouth.

would this probably still be an RI? I bumbed the temps a bit an the humidity too, temps are now around 93 on the hot spot and humidity goes up and down between 65 and 71-73

anything else i can do before i can visit the vet? (That is gonna be a couple of days, really cant get a day off from work)

please help me out!

Is it possible she is just hissing?

What is happening around her when she does this? Especially at the back end.

but could develop into one.

I was wondering if it was hissing too. Serket gets pretty huffy if I wake her up, haha.

Thanks for your input!

But is definitely not hissing, i got some BP's that will occasionally his but this sounds completely different.

Thanks David, I will most certainly keep an eye on it!

She is also in shed at the moment and actually really hope that this problem will soon be over after her shed as she has not eaten in weeks now.

Little update,

hey everyone,

i just wanted to let you know she seems do be doing better, the forceful exhaling seem te be less frequent. I will ofcourse keep watching it closely!
