    I only recently figured out (common sense) that a bel is called so because Lucy is short for leusistic. Derp. Sorry for the bad thread.

    Ehehe, it happens. terminology can get confusing, especially when everyone who's familiar with the jargon tosses it around in casual conversation and you're over in the corner going ????? every 5 words out of ten.

    I've always hated the term BEL myself. The two major lines of leucistics are the Blue Eyed Leucistics and the Black Eyed Leucistics. They BOTH start with the letter B so how in the world is BEL descriptive??? It just always seemed silly to me.

    I figured Blue eyes are way more common so I write them as BEL and i write black eyes as BlkEL
