    BP strange noise
    Hey guys
I have a young pastel BP. She (i assume female) has been with me for about 5 months now. Up until around two months ago she has been perfectly normal, but now i hear a noise from her cage at night and it sounds as if she is sneezing. At first i assumed RI infection but she makes the noise randomnly and has no other signs of infection. A few days ago i took her to the vet and everything seemed to check out ok. She is eating normally and i make sure the temperature and humidity are always at recommended levels. If anyone has any ideas and could please help i would appreciate it.

Don't take this like its set in stone, but I've read that some snakes do it for no reason. My snakes both will do it from time to time without any other signs if RI and every time I freak out. It wouldn't hurt to up the hotspot by a degree or 2 incase it is early RI. If she's eating then that's a good sign. When did it last shed?

I have a Bumblebee male that blows bubbles in his water dish while he's drinking. Every once in awhile I swear he gets some up his nose and makes a sound like what you're describing. When you hear the noise, what's she doing inside of the cage?

Normally it happens when she is laying in hide or just kinda layingabout in the cage. And she is actuall in shed right now, just started yesterday.

It could be because she's in shed. My snakes had their first shed with me yesterday and my female started with her chin so the skin over the nose was still there, but it was lifted up a visible amount. When she would breath I heard a whistle and could see the old skin moving.
Also what substrate do you have, could it get into your snakes nose?

You've checked her mouth for mucous/bubbles right? I don't think a vet visit would hurt. I believe unless your 100% sure, then take it to the vet

A couple of my colubrids whistle when they're about to shed. Never had it happen with my BP, but I don't see any reason it couldn't.
