    help with temp and questions about snake
    im new to bps ive never had a snake before... but im worried hes in a shed his eyes just went back to normal color... but he opens his mouth alot an appears very wrinkly his hot side is at 84 86 with the cool bout 80... is this normal stuff

    Hot spot should be about 90 with an ambient of 80 ish. If he is suuuuper wrinkly it may be a stuck shed. By "just went back to normal color" so you mean like today? Mine usually sheds about 2 days after her eyes go back. What is your humidity at?

    They get kind of "loose" looking just before they shed. As long as you aren't finding broken shed all over and stuck pieces to the snake, I wouldn't worry until you find the shed. They will also open their mouth to loosen the skin and then start rubbing their nose on stuff to break the skin and then slowly "walk" out of it to say. And also I would bump the warm side up a few degrees. Cool side is fine though. Also now would be a good time to bump the humidity up to a 50-70% if you already don't have it that high. I personally keep my humidity between 50-60% all the time and mine sheds fine all in one piece.

    His eye were back to normal color today as not cloudy... the humidity im not sure i haven't got a gauge for that but i spray the tank an i got the top covered... i just got him saturday
