New Retic - messed up face?
Hello! I just got this boy today. He's a white albino goldenchild and I've named him Zeus. Anyway, he looked flawless in the pictures that we received from the breeder, but when he got here his nose looked really weird. I'm attaching a couple pictures, but they aren't very good. I can't tell if this is a new wound, or if it's been there for a while. What do you think? The last picture is of his side. It looks as if he's had a couple of bad sheds and they weren't properly cared for, but I can't tell for sure.

He may have been pushing when he was being transported to your place. Talk to the breeder and ask, any breeder worth going back to is going to happily answer any questions.

He looks like a chunk of his top lip is missing. :/ Almost more like a deformity than anything else. Poor guy.

Do you mind sharing the pictures the breeder sent?

I will if I can find them! Most of the pictures don't show his face, unfortunately. :/ There's one picture where you can kind of see something but it's questionable.

It looks like a birth defect. If so the breeder should have made you aware of it,before he sold it to you. Or better yet not offer it for sale. Hopefully the breeder will make things right for you.

The breeder has a very good reputation and my DH does not believe that it was a birth defect. He is making efforts to compensate us for this, even though it may not have been anyone's fault. I just want my boy to be okay. :( I've DREAMED of having a white goldenchild for a long time now and DH bought him and his white sunfire sister for me. :) I found those pictures but it's getting late. I'll upload them tomorrow.
