Tired of paper towel want to go something more natural looking?
I only have one baby ball python so price isn't a concern, I've had him on paper towel and no longer like the look of it. I plan on changing his place when hes eating tomorrow out his cage. Here is my options:

Cypress mulch from All living things
    Eco earth bricks
    Others??

I don't like the light color of aspen, my ball is albino. What do you guys recommend for me?

    KMG
I mix Forest Floor cypress mulch, Repti Bark, and Eco Earth. I mix in the amount of each to make the desired more natural looking substrate. My Ball cage has a pretty equal mix but my Hoggy has more Eco Earth since she likes to burrow. I just mix it in a big tub until it looks how I want and then scoop it in.

I like coconut husk as well. Great for humidity as well.

I do the same as KMG it makes bright snakes pop and looks natural with the humidity bonus

Any of the above mentioned substrates work great both in function and for naturalistic appearance!

I mainly keep lizards and they are all on a soil mix...I switched my snake over to it as well and have never looked back

The all living things cypress mulch is twice milled as opposed to the zoo med 100% natural cypress mulch. Both are good products. You can ponder the artificial repti-carpet that comes in a variety of colors. It does add a pleasing naturalistic look to the enclosure but may be problematic when it comes to spot cleaning. You need to purchase at least a couple to replace during cleaning intervals. Good luck.
