    Red spot after shedding
    Hi everyone, my BP just finished shedding, but she still has a red spot on her belly that is dry. Any thoughts? The tip of her tail is also a bit red.

    I'm no expert but it sounds like irritation of the skin. I'm sure pictures would help those who actually know what they're talking about :D

    Thanks! I thought the same and tried to post a pic, but don't know how. When I click on the pic icon, it wants a URL.

    Is it possible the spots are dried blood? A little bit of bleeding from around the cloaca is a common occurrence during shed and nothing to worry about.

    To post a picture, you need to upload the image to an image hosting site. You can use something like Photobucket or the free gallery space we give to all members here.

    Thanks Judy. I loaded the imagines on the gallery space. http://ball-pythons.net/gallery/show...mageuser=58262 Will try to get better pics. Not easy to take with a squirmy snake!

    Yes, it seems there is a bit of blood spots.
